Over a short period of time Cement Naturals develops a unique naturally mottled finish and is available in “Coarse, fine and ultra fine” textures. The exciting aspect is that each application is unique. Its soft appearance belies its extreme durability and water resistant strength and high resistance to the effects of the sun, rain, wind and salt air. A specially prepared Portland Cement based exterior paint, coloured with iron oxides, Africote’s Cement Naturals is sold in powder form. This durable economical water resistant coating is suitable for application on all masonry surfaces such as sand and cement plaster or bagged brickwork. A major advantage of Cement Naturals is its ability to be applied directly onto masonry surfaces without an undercoat. PVA and other gloss paint, patched and dense concrete surfaces, must be pre-coated with a slurry coat which is also available from the Africote range.
Although chemically formulated to restrict the effects of efflorescence Cement Naturals may due to the nature of portland cements, exhibits efflorescent marks in high water run off areas such as parapet walls etc. This natural chemical reaction visible as white crystals on the surface of these high run off areas is characteristic of this “living” coating. CEMENT NATURALS HAS MET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SABS 24 HOUR RAIN PENETRATION TEST.

"Sandstone" Cement Naturals have been used on the walls, course naturally enhances light and dark tones of the selected colours. The pots have been coated in Chemstain.	Walls are coated in our Cement Naturals and the stair railings have been coated in Rust Paint.

Coverage	Coarse: 9 - 15m2/bag onto Raw Brickwork or Blockwork. 30 - 35m2/bag onto Sand Cement Plaster. Fine: 45 - 50m2/ bag onto sand cement plaster. Ultra Fine: 70m2/bag onto sand cement plaster. N.B. Surface preparation and inspection is critical. Consult our technical department for advice and scope of work.

Description	A durable pigmented cementitious paint requiring only the addition of potable water. Contains both weather and ultraviolet resistant chemicals and self curing properties. Meets the SABS 24 hour rain penetration test and is approved by Agrément South Africa. The paint is hardwearing and creates an aged mottled effect.

Applications	Exterior brick, bagged brickwork, pointed brickwork, raw plaster. For optimum results two coats are recommeded. Apply coarse and fine product with a block brush or soft broom. For a more mottled effect use a crisscross technique on second coat. A mohair roller can be used instead of a block brush for the ultra-fine coating.
