Product Description
Africote Plaster Bond is a clear, alkali resistant, water based bonding liquid.
Uses
To bind powdery or friable surfaces before painting. To even surface suction and to minimise colour variation and mottling of following coat/s.
Recommended as a first-coat onto raw plaster. For coastal areas it is recommended that Africote's Pigmented Plaster Primer be used first.
Plaster Bond is not suitable for gypsum plasters as the gypsum will soften as the plaster bond is a water based acrylic.
General application
In all instances allow a minimum of 4 hours between coats of Plaster Bond. Leave for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 72 hours before applying a water-based paint such as Liquid Naturals, Platinum XP Satin or Platinum Sheen.
Coverage: 6-8 square metres per litre per coat depending on surface.
Packaging: 5 and 20 litre plastic buckets
Shelf Life: 12 months in properly sealed bucket.
Cleaning of Tools: Wash immediately after use with water.
